Features
Introduction
A robot picks up material from the finished product bin of the previous process, loads it into the spline extruder, and grips the external diameter to machine the internal splines.
Axial forming involves reducing and increasing the diameter with the help of a die and an internal tool. The forming die forms the external contour, while the internal tool (mandrel) forms the internal contour. The movement is performed by a hydraulic cylinder. The process utilizes force control: force and impact monitoring can be configured.
