Machine Introduction

The optical curve grinder is a processing equipment designed specifically for high-precision, complex two-dimensional contour parts. It combines precision grinding with optical projection amplification technology.
During the processing, the optical system of the grinder can magnify the contour of the workpiece and the tip of the grinding wheel by 20 to 50 times in real time. And it can be clearly projected onto the operation screen.
During operation, you can directly refer to the enlarged design reference line displayed on the screen and control the grinding wheel manually or through the numerical control system. This enables the movement path of the grinding wheel to align with the target contour precisely, thereby achieving precise grinding of complex curves, arcs, grooves and various irregular contours.
The optical curve grinder realizes an integrated process of processing, measurement, and correction. You can continuously observe the relative position and contact status between the grinding wheel and the workpiece on the screen throughout the entire grinding process.
Once minor deviations caused by grinding wheel wear, material properties, or feed parameters are discovered, you can stop the processing immediately. And manually adjust the grinding wheel path or compensation values to ensure that the accuracy is dynamically controlled.
After processing is completed, there is no need to remove the workpiece. You can directly use the same set of optical projection systems for in-machine inspection. By comparing the enlarged image of the finished product with the standard drawing, you can verify the processing quality quickly and intuitively.

Machine Features
  1. The core frames of the grinder, such as the base and the column, are made of high-strength cast iron and undergo annealing and artificial aging treatment. This will eliminate the internal residual stress completely and ensure the long-term geometric accuracy and stability.
  2. The castings have undergone structural optimization, and they possess sufficient anti-deformation ability and structural strength.
  3. The surface of the casting has undergone precise processing, and is combined with high-precision assembly techniques to reduce the loss of accuracy caused by structural gaps.
  4. Each linear motion axis is equipped with high-precision grade ball screws and linear guides, which ensure smooth, wear-resistant and long-lasting motion with high precision.
  5. The system adopts fully closed-loop control and is equipped with a grating ruler with a resolution of 0.1 μm for real-time position feedback. This achieves nanometer level positioning accuracy and ultra-high machining accuracy within ± 0.002 mm.
  6. The CNC system can achieve four axis motion control with two axis linkage interpolation, which can meet the automation grinding requirements of complex two-dimensional contour curves.
  7. The grinder is equipped with a high-speed precision electric spindle, which can reach a speed of 24000 revolutions per minute. And it has excellent rotational accuracy and thermal stability to meet the grinding requirements of high linear velocity and high surface quality.
  8. The optical projection system can offer various adjustable magnification ratios such as 20x and 50x, and it uses long-life LED light sources for both transmission and reflection illumination. This ensures that the contours of the workpiece are clearly and uniformly imaged on the screen.
  9. The grinder also integrates additional visual magnification devices, which can perform secondary magnification on the projected images. Your microscopic alignment observation of the grinding wheel and workpiece contour will be more accurate.
  10. The CNC system supports a complete automatic programming machining mode while also retaining manual operation functionality. This provides flexibility for the processing of complex samples.
  11. During the processing, the program is allowed to be interrupted at any time. You can manually adjust the tool path or wear compensation value online based on real-time observation of the optical screen.
  12. The dedicated grinding wheel dressing platform has high-speed reciprocating motion capability. It supports height adjustment and multi angle adjustment from 0-150 mm, and can quickly adjust various complex shapes of grinding wheel contours.
  13. The machine tool is equipped with a compact and easy-to-operate protective device. And the electrical system integrates safety interlocks and emergency stop functions.
