What are the Advantages of the HMT Series CNC Deep Hole Honing Machine?

Large-sized Touch Screen

The HMT series deep hole honing machine is equipped with a 10.4-inch intelligent touch screen, which allows operators to display and configure all machining parameters. It also supports quick switching between different machining processes and real-time data monitoring, significantly improving overall working efficiency.

Tool Wear Compensation System

Due to the longer contact length and extended machining time in deep hole machining, tool engagement is significantly increased. As a result, honing sticks experience more severe wear compared with other honing methods.

In response to this, the machine is equipped with an advanced control system that enables precise tool wear compensation, significantly extending tool life, reducing scrap rates, and enhancing the machine’s capability for continuous operation.

High-resolution Feed System

The feed system adopts a servo motor and ball screw drive, providing stable feed motion, high positioning accuracy, and good response performance. Especially in batch machining, this feed system helps maintain consistent dimensional accuracy among parts. In addition, the feed resolution is 1 μm, which results in precise control of the bore diameter.

Honing Oil Temperature Control System

During deep hole machining, friction between the workpiece and the tool generates heat. Excessive temperatures can cause workpiece deformation. This machine uses an advanced honing oil temperature control system and a cooling tank larger than 350 liters, capable of a 100 L/min flow rate, which ensures adequate circulation of the honing oil and timely removal of heat from the workpiece.

High-precision Filtration System

The filtration system consists of a magnetic separator, a bag filter, and an oil cooler, achieving a filtration precision of less than 30 μm. With this system, metal debris generated by friction will be quickly cooled and accurately filtered out, which can reduce workpiece scrap rates, extend tool life, and lower the frequency of manual maintenance.

Improved Lubrication Function

The HMT series deep hole honing machine features an advanced internal oil injection system, where the honing oil is delivered directly through the honing tool, providing direct lubrication to both the tool and the bore wall. This significantly reduces tool wear and also helps metal particles to be promptly expelled from the bore.
