5-Axis Machining Center for Blade Finishing
HIGHLIGHT
Specializing in high-precision, high-dynamic-response blades for aero-engines and gas turbines.
- Utilizes a positive T-base structure to significantly lower the center of gravity of moving components, ensuring micron-level dynamic precision is maintained even during rapid directional reversals.
- The dual-drive Z-axis, combined with a “center-of-gravity drive” design, perfectly counteracts load fluctuations caused by swivel head oscillation, ensuring the spindle face and rotational center remain precisely aligned at all times.
- The A, A1, and B axes are driven by full-torque motors—integrated with high-precision rotary encoders—to eliminate all transmission backlash and achieve instantaneous dynamic response.
- The swivel head features a built-in pneumatic counterweight system to resolve center-of-gravity displacement issues across varying angles, thereby protecting the motors and extending the equipment’s service life.

Features
The MCV-AB series is a specialized 5-axis simultaneous machining center developed specifically for the precision finishing of high-accuracy blades, such as those found in aero-engines and gas turbines. Designed from the ground up, the machine tool features exceptional dynamic precision and excellent operational ergonomics.
It is equipped with a Siemens 5-axis simultaneous control system, which has undergone extensive secondary development to incorporate advanced functions such as thermal displacement compensation, collision avoidance, torque synchronization, and dynamic compensation.
The A, A1, and B axes are driven by high-torque direct-drive motors and utilize high-precision rotary encoders for position loop feedback, thereby ensuring both high precision and superior dynamic responsiveness.
The swivel head incorporates an air-counterbalancing mechanism to effectively mitigate the issue of excessive motor load caused by shifts in the head’s center of gravity at various angular positions.
The Z-axis employs a dual-drive configuration to enhance the motor’s lifting capacity and improve the axis’s dynamic responsiveness; high-precision linear encoders are utilized to provide full closed-loop feedback, thereby optimizing the Z-axis’s positioning accuracy and long-term precision retention.
The U-axis facilitates workpiece length adjustment; furthermore, specialized U-axis force control and A1-axis adaptive adjustment functions have been developed to address and resolve issues regarding precision degradation caused by stress-induced deformation of the workpiece during the machining process.
Specialized post-processing software has been developed for the CAM system to facilitate more efficient machining operations and achieve superior surface finishes.
Structure
The equipment adopts an inverted T-type structure, lowering the center of gravity of the moving components to achieve superior dynamic performance;
The rigidity and span of the X-axis column support have been increased.
The A, A1, and B axes are equipped with high-torque direct-drive motors to achieve superior dynamic response capabilities.
The Z-axis employs a dual-drive configuration featuring a center-of-gravity-driven structural design; this ensures smooth Z-axis operation during head articulation while simultaneously enhancing the axis’s dynamic response.
The spindle face is positioned at the rotational center of the B-axis, thereby enabling higher machining precision—even under equivalent B-axis accuracy conditions.
